Graphene Demonstration

In this demonstration you will be exploring the thinnest material that exists! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

First take the tweezers provided and grab a single flake of graphite. |

Take the flake and set it on a piece of tape. It is best to fold both ends of the tape to have something to hold. |

Take the tape and fold it in half over the graphite and peel it apart. Do this several more times. |

Stick your piece of tape on the provided white card. What do you notice?

Now use the pencil to color in the box on your card. Be sure to fill it completely.

Attach the two alligator clips to the prongs and then touch the other ends to either side of the layer of graphite you drew in. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
